Tasmanian International Bowls Classic Festival Weekend

Launceston comes alive in October when the Tasmanian International Bowls Classic (TIBC) rolls into town — and this is one event you won’t want to miss.

TIBC is part elite sports event, part festival, and entirely unforgettable. Set against the backdrop of Trevallyn Bowls Club, the two-day event draws a passionate crowd, world-class athletes, and an electric atmosphere that spills well beyond the green. With $12,000 in prize money on the line and a single champion crowned at the Grand Final, the competition is fierce — but the vibe is pure festival.

Saturday’s highlights include Sporties on the Green and The Deck Party, where players and spectators come together for food, drinks, and live entertainment in one of Australia’s most beautiful regional cities. It’s the kind of event where you arrive for the sport and stay for everything else.
