How to get to Latrobe
Bass Strait is the stretch of water which separates our beautiful island of Tasmania from the rest of Australia. This affords the traveller several ways to arrive at your destination here in Tasmania's North West.
Two superfast ships, Spirit of Tasmania I and II offer an overnight service in both directions between Melbourne and Devonport seven days a week, year round, with additional services in peak periods. This allows you to also bring your vehicle with you.
For those choosing to travel by air, Qantaslink, Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Regional Express operate frequent services to Tasmania, with the option of Devonport or Burnie Aiports getting you directly to the North West Coast of Tasmania. Another option is Tiger Airways who now offer flights in and out of Launceston, only an hour's drive away.
Shuttle services - there are shuttle services available to pick up passengers and luggage from all major ports, and airports, as well as hotels on request.
