The Australian Axeman's Hall of Fame and Timberworks, celebrates all aspects of Tasmania's timber and wood chopping heritage and also includes a gift shop and cafe.

» Lillico Penguin Observation Deck

Take a quick trip to the year-round observation deck located at the end of Lillico Straight on the Bass Highway, just west of Devonport.
The deck is a great place to see local fairy penguins and other assorted wildlife, especially on dusk at most times of the year.
Take along a picnic and a cup of coffee, chat to the volunteer guide, if present, and wait for the penguins to arrive just after dark.
